J-KEM's
syringe pump is the most versatile and powerful available from any manufacturer.
Its computer controller comes loaded with 4 standard programs (see below)
that have proven to be the most useful applications for laboratory automation.
A feature available with no other syringe pump is a custom 5th program
written by J-KEM to perform any unique solvent delivery task specific to
your research. For even greater versatility, the syringe pump's computer
controller can be attached to a standard PC to run custom user written
programs directly from the PC. The four standard programs are:

Standard Syringe Pump Programs
Program 1:
"Timed Addition". Runs up to a 16-step program that adds multiple
reagents to multiple reactors at user specified rates. Syringe automatically
primes and refills, as needed, with the active reagent. Example (a single
reactor program): Use a 10ml syringe to:
1) Add 12 ml of
reagent A at a rate of 3 ml/min, followed by
2) 2.5 ml of reagent B at a rate of 0.02 ml/min,
followed by
3) 20 ml of reagent C at a rate of 10 ml/min
Program 2:
"Program Loader". This program executes a user entered sequence of
syringe pump commands. Command scripts can specify any sequence of port
selection, the rate and volumes of withdrawals and dispenses, or any other
action of the pump. Program Loader makes it effortless to automate virtually any
fluid distribution application. Examples of automated additions to parallel
reactors, titer plates, resin washing, and other applications are at: www.jkem.com\sp_program.

| Program 3:
"Remote Control". Places every action of the syringe pump
under the direct control of an attached PC.
Program 4:
"Custom". For no additional charge, the user may specify a
custom syringe pump program. This program is written by J-KEM at the
time of manufacture and stored in the controller.
Program 5:
"Update Manager". Allows new programs, available at J-KEM’s
web site, to be uploaded into the syringe pump controller via Email or
web site download.
Program 6:
"Serial Dilution". (SYR-2200 only) Simultaneously
adds a user entered ratio and volume of two solutions, triggered by a
simple touch of a hand probe or foot switch. |

"Custom" At the time of ordering, the user may specify a custom
solvent delivery program. This program is written by J-KEM and stored as
'Program 5'.
