The Personal Reaction Station has every feature needed for lead development or any high throughput application. The Personal Reaction Station provides precision temperature control, powerful magnetic stirring, inert atmosphere, and a Teflon septummed port on each reactor. Reactions are run in 50 ml glass reaction tubes that fit inside a heated and cooled reaction base. Six built-in magnetic stirrers provide powerful and even stirring that is not possible with reactors that use a single external stirrer. A reflux condenser plate surrounds the midsection of each reaction tube to maintain a continuous reflux with no cross contamination or solvent loss. Each reactor is connected to an internal inert gas manifold through separate needle valves, so that individual reactors can be added or removed without disturbing the atmosphere of any other reactor. Each reactor has its own Teflon septummed needle port for adding reagents and sampling reactor content.

Temperature Control

Temperature range: -80 to 130°C

Heating is built into the Personal Reaction Station which is regulated by J-KEM’s digital temperature controller. Reaction temperatures are maintained with 0.1o C regulation. Cooling is provide by a circulating chiller or tap water. The Personal Reaction Station includes a built-in water cooled reflux head for continuous reflux with no loss of volatile solvents. A digital 100 Hr. timer turns heating OFF (or ON) at a user set time.

Inert Atmosphere

Add & Remove tubes while maintaining inert atmosphere

Separate stainless steel needle valves turn inert gas flow ON/OFF to individual reaction tubes. Tubes can be added and removed without disturbing the atmosphere in any other reactor.
